Revell’s Ford Raptor is a snap kit, but it offers decent detail to make an adequate curbside model. It served as a good platform to test a few new skills, including my first proprietary 3d wheel design to work with the kit tires and axles, as well as the spray in bedliner effect using Mr Surfacer. Both turned out okay for a first attempt. The kit is not without its challenges: the glass does not fit very well and requires force to install, mating the chassis to the body risks snapping the clips that hold the bed to the body, and various parts either do not fit properly or need mounting points enlarged.

Paints used include Tamiya, Mr Color, and Gaianotes.
